Radiant Optimizer alternatives, by task
There is no single best replacement, so this page is organized by the job you want done. We have not benchmarked any of these tools.
Tune Windows with a dedicated app
- Hone applies selected Windows and network tweaks and offers game presets, with a free tier and a paid plan. See our Radiant vs Hone comparison.
- Radiant Optimizer itself, for a one-time license. See Free vs Premium.
Use free settings already in Windows
- Game Mode and the Xbox Game Bar in Windows Settings.
- Graphics settings: Settings, System, Display, Graphics, where you can set a per-app graphics preference.
- Power mode: choose a performance-oriented mode for plugged-in play.
Set graphics per game
- Your GPU vendor's control app (for example NVIDIA's or AMD's) can adjust per-game settings and update drivers.
- In-game video settings are usually the largest lever: resolution scale, upscaling, shadows and effects.
Free game boosters
- Razer Cortex is a free game booster from Razer. We have not tested what it changes.
Measure before and after
Whatever you pick, measure. Use the same game scene, run each condition several times, and compare median and 1% low frame rates. Frame-capture tools such as PresentMon, CapFrameX and NVIDIA FrameView exist for this.
If the problem is ping, not FPS
Local tuning cannot change server distance or server load. Try a wired connection, close background downloads and check Wi-Fi quality first. The vendors themselves say their tools do not control your ISP or the game server.
